Vacation Update: Let it here be said, the best Sweet Corn is located in Northern Minnesota, where the dirt is so black, that black is jealous. Iowa, while it is better than NC and probably MD, is a distant second! Thus Sayeth the Corn…

The problem is, Iowa corn knows it is the best, so it doesn’t make a big deal about it.
Corn from other states feel like they need to make unsubstantiated claims about how good they are, when really they are just trying to spin one aspect of themsleves.
For example, Minnestota corn is the best (of all corn close to Canada).
And Maryland corn is the best (of corn in states with universities that have turles as their mascots).
So really – when all the facts are known, we are back to Iowa as the best corn.
-Thus sayeth me. 🙂

I must keep my friend Laura from reading this post. She lives in MD and her family’s farm is her pride and joy. She swears there is no better corn in the world….. But I’m glad you are enjoying what you have.
Have a great week.

Ok this NEEDS to be settled! It begs for a corn-off! I think we should have one cook prepare samples of each state’s corn then have it taste-tested by either a panel of each state’s representatives or an unbiased panel of non-Minnesotans, Iowans, MD-ers, and NC-ers taste test the corn and vote. We need a corny-challenge! Perhaps, we could let each state rep pick out several ears and submit them for cooking or grilling and then go for it!
Personally, I have never thought of NC as a corn state, so our chances may not be all that good…

As much as I would like to take home a 12-pack of corn (no not the “corn” from a jug) but it is just too heavy, so you will have to take my (microsoft) WORD (up)!

After VBS is over my home is free for a Corn Fest. Come! Popcorn, candy corn, corn on the cob, cream corn, carmel corn, corn dogs. How about it?

If our motive for worship is not God then it’s not worship. I long for solitude where I can get away from everything but God.
